Our Guest House is ideally situated in quiet seaside village of Llwyngwril on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and also benefits from wireless internet access.

The village is just a few miles from Tywyn to the South and Fairbourne to the North. A regular bus service is available within easy reach on the A493.  Llwyngwril also has a railway station offering travel along the coast between Aberystwyth and Pwllehli as well as links to the Midlands and London.

The house is a few minutes walk from local amenities including a Tearoom, Shop and a Public house. The village is just a few miles from Tywyn to the South and Fairbourne to the North.

 

Local Bus and Train Services

A regular bus service is available within easy reach on the A493. Llwyngwril also has a railway station offering travel along the coast between Aberystwyth and Pwllheli as well as links to the Midlands and London. We can arrange a pick up service from the station if required.

Walking Holidays

Barmouth BridgeWe currently hold the Tourist Board Walking Award ensuring we have all of the facilities required to make your stay as pleasant as possible, such as storage and drying facilities. There are many walks in the village and surrounding area to take you into the hills for spectacular views over Cardigan Bay or visit its lakes, forests and waterfalls. Why not take a stroll along the pebble beach, where dolphins can be seen during the summer.
Walking is available no matter what your fitness level, from the flat Mawddach trail along the estuary to the more strenuous Cader Idris. Walk across the Estuary Bridge to Barmouth for lunch or continue on to the Panorama Walk above the town. There is also the ever-popular Precipice Walk, to name but a few.

Cycling and Mountain Biking Holidays

We currently hold the Tourist Board Cycling Award. We are close to the national cycle route and we offer safe storage for cycling equipment as well as drying facilities should the weather let you down! We are within easy reach of numerous mountain bike trails.

Golfing Holidays

If you like golf we have courses at Aberdovey, Fairbourne, Dolgellau and Harlech. All of these are within easy reach by road and rail.

Fishing Holidays

Fishing is also popular in the area at Talyllyn Lake, Creggenan Lakes and Dolgellau, together with river and sea fishing. We have beautiful uncrowded beaches to relax or play.

Steam Railways

For enthusiasts there are many steam railways in the area. These include the Talyllyn Railway, which travels from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn, and the Fairbourne railway which links with the ferry across to Barmouth in the summer. Other railways within easy reach include Llangollen Railway, Ffestiniog Railway, Welsh Highland Railway, Corris Railway and The Vale of Rheidol Railway.

Bird Watching

The Snowdonia area is well know for it's Bird watching and we often have numerous birds in the garden, including woodpeckers which nest in the trees behind the house. You can visit the Red Kite Centre and other wildlife areas.

If you love to paint or draw then look no further for a perfect setting. From seascapes to landscapes and spectacular sunsets, we have it all! We have many artists in the area and have a thriving art group in the village. We can organise painting holidays to include accommodation and art tuition in calm and peaceful surroundings.
