Snowdonia B&B - Our Garden
The garden is an ongoing project as when we moved into the house it was really a field! After lots of digging, building of walls, moving boulders and planting we now have something resembling a garden.
The boundary wall at the rear of the garden was down in places so had to be re-built. The ground is mainly granite so there were lots of stones and boulders for us to utilise. We decided on a large corner border and used some of the many stones that were lying around to edge it and incorporated a seating area to catch the sun.
After that came the waterfall and stream flowing into the small pool. We had to bring in a mini digger to move the large boulders to create the waterfall and dig out the pool so we decided to have an island in the middle of the lawn to break up the grassed area.
The boulders came in very useful! After that came the planting and also a deck with BBQ by the pool to catch the evening sun. Guests are welcome to use the garden at any time. We still have lots we would like to do so watch this space for an update!
